Amogha-drik prabhu made a terrific banana & raisin crumble for Srila Prabhupada's disappearance feast here in Copenhagen. Thanks for that- it was a great treat! It sure beats the usual apple or pear crumble.

HOWEVER if apples or pears are all that you have, try the following crumble topping to make it more exciting:

Rub the usual butter, icing sugar & flour together to a 'sand' consistency. Add grated MARCIPAN, rub it in and then spread it over the pre-boiled fruit base.

Bake the crumble for about 10mins on 200C and then add more grated plain marcipan. It should be slightly brown on the ends of the marzipan, otherwise put it under a grill for a couple of minutes.

TO MAKE IT EVEN BETTER!!!!

To make a true crumble with a difference, boil a can of NESTLÉ's Sweetened condensed milk for approx. 1-1,5hrs. Let cool, then open the can. Inside should be caramelised. Mix the caramel with the fruit or simply pour it over the top and then add the marzipan crumble topping. Cook as directed.

Then experience one of the best sugar high's of your life! :-D
